A fire safety plan is a complex & comprehensive document that covers all aspects of fire safety and appropriate actions to take in the event of a fire emergency evacuation for a specific building or property.

Fire safety plans are mandatory in specific building occupancies and sites. See compliance section. Buildings with fire alarm system are just one example.
YES! Fire safety plans shall be reviewed in regular intervals not greater than 12 months according to the National Fire Code and Manitoba Fire Code.
Having a new location or re-design of your building or space will require a new site assessment and updated or revised fire safety plan for compliance with current building fire code regulations.
As per the N.F.C (National Fire Code) and the M.F.C (Manitoba Fire Code) Fire Safety Plans are required in the following:
a) every building containing an assembly, care, treatment or detention occupancy,
b) every building required by the National Building Code to have a fire alarm system,
c) demolition and construction sites regulated under Section 5.6.,
d) Storage areas required to have a fire safety plan in conformance with Article 3.3.2.5. and 3.3.2.9.,
e) areas where flammable liquids or combustible liquids are stored or handled, in conformance with Article 4.1.5.5.,
f) Areas where hazardous processes or operations occur, in conformance with Article 5.1.5.1.
g) every building containing a residential care facility, and
h) every boarding and lodging house.
